One-Page Board AI Report
Seven lines management fills in every quarter, so the board can see where AI runs, what it changed, what went wrong and what is next.
Prepared by the CEO’s office or the AI owner; read by the board or audit and risk committee each quarter. · Updated November 2026
Why this matters now
- 82% of directors rate the information linking AI to outcomes, risks and business performance as fair, poor, or not provided (PwC, September 2026). [PwC 2026 Annual Corporate Directors Survey]
- Nearly three quarters of CEOs (72%) say they are now the main decision-maker on AI, twice the share of the year before (BCG AI Radar 2026). [BCG AI Radar 2026]
How to fill it in
- Keep it to one page. If it needs a second, the use cases are not prioritized yet.
- Use one business number per use case (time, cost, errors or revenue), with last quarter next to it.
- Report near-misses too, not only incidents. They show where the next incident will come from.
- End with a decision: what to scale and what to stop.
