Editorial Policy

This page explains how Lumis decides what to publish, where our information comes from, and what you can hold us to.

    Who is responsible

Khaled Jabr, Founder & Editor, decides what is published on Lumis and is accountable for every page, including corrections.

    How we research

We start from primary sources: official documentation, pricing pages, changelogs, laws and regulators’ texts, and published research or survey reports.

Figures are checked against the page they come from, and we link the sources behind key facts so you can check them yourself.

When a study is commissioned or published by a company that sells the product it discusses, we say so next to the figure.

    How we test

Articles marked “Tested by Lumis” contain code, prompts or workflows that we actually ran. The badge shows the date of the run, the output shown is the real output, and the code can be downloaded.

If we did not run something, we do not call it tested. Examples written to explain an idea are labeled as examples, not results.

    How we use AI

We use AI assistants to help with research, translation and first drafts, because it lets a small team cover fast-moving tools in two languages.

AI does not publish anything on its own. A human editor reviews every page, checks facts against sources, and decides what goes live.

    Independence

No company can pay to be included, placed higher, or reviewed more kindly. We do not accept sponsored articles presented as editorial content.

Lumis earns money from advertising and affiliate links. Affiliate links are labeled on the page, and they never decide what we recommend.

    Updates

AI tools, prices and rules change quickly. Each article shows its publication date, and an “Updated” date when it has been revised since.

    Corrections

If you find a mistake, use the “Report it” link at the end of any article, or email us with the page and what is wrong.

We check every report. When an error is confirmed, we fix it, update the page date, and for a significant error we add a short note saying what changed.
