Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
This policy covers Lumis ("we", "us"), the website at www.lumisai.space. It explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@lumisai.space.
2. Information you give us
Account. If you create an account we store your email address, a securely hashed password (handled by our authentication provider — we never see it in plain text), and any profile details you add, such as a display name, username, avatar, bio, and language preference. Signed-in features also store the tools and articles you save, your reading history, and any tool reviews you write (which are shown publicly with your display name).
Newsletter and waitlists. If you subscribe to the newsletter, join a product waitlist, or request Pro early access, we store your email address (and, for Pro requests, your name) and which list you joined.
Contact form. If you message us we store your name, email address, subject, and message so we can reply.
3. Information collected automatically
Article views. When an article is opened we record a view for that article so we can show view counts and most-read lists. This record does not include your name, email, or IP address.
Referral and outbound-click tracking. If you arrive through a link with a ?ref= code, we store that code in your browser and record one referral event (the page you landed on and that it was a referral). When you click through to a tool's website from certain buttons we record which tool and which page the click came from. These records are not linked to your account.
Server logs. Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We use your browser's local storage (not advertising cookies) for things the site needs to work: remembering your language, your cookie choice, your sign-in session, your Smart Finder progress, how many prompts you've copied today, whether you've dismissed the newsletter pop-up, and any referral code you arrived with. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
Cookies from Google Analytics and Google AdSense are only set if you click Accept in our cookie banner. If you click Decline, neither service is loaded and we remember that choice. You can change your mind any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
5. Analytics (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and roughly where they are (country/city level). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects your IP address, which Google uses to derive location and does not store. We use this only to improve the site. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
6. Advertising (Google AdSense)
With your consent, we show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland may be shown Google's consent message, which lets you choose how your data is used for ads.
You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings (also available through My Ad Center), and learn more in How Google uses cookies in advertising and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
7. Service providers
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that run parts of the site for us:
- Supabase — database and user accounts (stores the information in sections 2 and 3).
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Google — Analytics and AdSense, only after you consent (sections 5 and 6).
We may also disclose information if required by law.
8. How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to. Newsletter and waitlist entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months. Anonymous view and click records are kept in aggregate for site statistics.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and you can object to or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising at any time (via Cookie settings). If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. To make a request, email hello@lumisai.space.
10. Affiliate links
Lumis does not currently use affiliate links. If that changes, affiliate links will be labeled and this policy will be updated before they go live.
11. Children
Lumis is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
