AI Agent
Definition: An AI system that decides on its own which tool to call, checks what it gets back, and repeats that loop — planning and acting across multiple steps — rather than just replying once to a single message.
Why it matters: This is the difference between a chatbot and something that actually finishes a task. A chatbot answers your question; an agent can go check your calendar, draft a reply, and send it, adjusting its next step based on what each tool returns.
Example: An agent that reads a new email, checks your calendar for a free slot, drafts a meeting invite, and sends it — three tool calls in sequence, not one reply.
